I saw that- it was very good, and very very funny! Michael's "reading" of the bible about st Brian was hilarious! it all was, esp that guy talking about what people died of in the middle ages. at the end, all the peeps around him started to swear at the camera. He restrained himself, i'm glad to say!
mary, if you would like a full explanation of it all, as i don't think it will go to the U.S, let me know!

Am reading "Tragically, I was an only twin" & have recently listened to "Good Evening" again -- love "Frog & Peach" (saw them do it on Saturday Night Live), "Gospel Truth" (We are Magi!) & "One Leg Too Few" (I've got nothing against your right leg. Trouble is, neither do you.). Peter Cook was such a great comedian -- so creative, inventive & just plain bizarre! On the LoB DVD in the BBC documentary, Cleese compares Michael to PC in terms of creating memorable characters.

Sminobe, is the book good? I can recommend "Something Like Fire: Peter Cook Remembered".
Amongst the contributors are MP plus Mr Cleese and Mr Idle.

Yes, I've read that one, too -- wonderful reminiscences by all & sundry.

As for "...Only Twin" it's a collection of sketches, which aren't as funny when you read them, since much of PCs humor is in his delivery & the other peoples' reactions to him (esp. Dud's!). Still, his "voice" comes through. Have a listen to his 4-character tour-de-force (farce?!) from 1993 at:
