The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Baltimore Cone Sisters by parapetetically on 7 January 2003 11:15pm
Michael: This is to you! Please find time to visit Baltimore, Maryland, USA again and tell us all about the Cone Sisters and Matisse from your point of view. Or maybe get in touch with Sam Anthony in D.C. (Sherrie Levy of St. Martin's, might have that contact information from the last time, or Anouchka should. I certainly do!!) There's a "USA connection" to these subjects so it would be an appropriate venue. The Cones were so eccentric and I know you would pique everyone's interest here with your slant on these quirky women. You visited the city and left so quickly that most of us didn't know until the papers spoke of your visit the following day. I often visit the art galleries and would love to hear you lecture again. The last time was in Washington D.C.-Hemingway, with Basil and his marvelous collection of stills. I have more comments for you about that lecture and also more to add to the statements I made in the letter you read aboard the airplane to Boston. Anouchka gave you a letter from me, as well, then sent a letter to me on your behalf. Both writings were very lengthy. I must tell you what I've been up to lately, for you stoked a fire and I am fulfilling a dream, in large part, due to you. It would be fun to tell you about it.
