A Fish called Wanda! by viv on 11 January 2003 7:53pm
I know that this has nothing to do with travel and I apologise but I heard that a new edition of A Fish called Wanda was coming out on DVD this year with outtakes and stuff like that. Has anyone else heard this or is it just me. I hope it's true I adore that movie and Michael is so fantastic as Ke-Ke-Ken!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THAT MOVIE! I own it on DVD somewhere in this house (it seems to have mysteriously disapeared) But I was never really satisfied with the features. (Though it was funny to watch it in french with the english subtittles! They all sounded SOO different except for Michael's character. His voice and the French dubbers voice sounded quite similar.) If this happens, i can't wait for this new version! Thanks for the heads up Viv!

Yes. I have the DVD too Krissy and felt quite the same as you. They didnt give you many special features or anything, did they? Although the booklet they had in the DVD case had some funny stuff in it too.
'Fish Called Wanda' is a brilliant movie.

Me too, me too!!
I have the first on DVD and I felt that theree needed to be just a bit more too. I wonder if there will be commentary?

'Sing it'
'The Cahhh....the Cahhh....'
(my favorite part, just for the look on his face when he finally utters it clearly...too late, of course. Classic!)

I've got mixed feelings about this possible news.

On one hand...hey, great! I too would've liked some "extra footage" on the DVD.

On the other hand, I *just* bought the DVD this month and the chances of me buying the DVD all over again any time soon just for the special features are...slim to none. Grr.

But still, it'll be cool. :O)

LOL Trixi! Agreed; IMHO, the *funniest* part of the movie! "Sing it..." "The CAAAAAAAAAA..." ROFL!
I quote that scene around the house all the time. (And after all this time, my parents don't even worry!)

Yes! I love that part too! It's really funny, but you kinda feel sorry for his character. Taking forever for him to actully say it properly.

Oh, quick fact for anyone who dosn't know, Michael's father spoke with a stammer. Ironic isn't it?
Re: A Fish called Wanda! by Helen on 13 January 2003 12:32am
it's awesome when Jamie Lee Curtis slaps a wet sloppy one on him to get him to stop stuttering. And Kevin Kline is brilliant, as always.
Great news! thanks for the info!
'Look at that ass! Is that beautiful or what? He's mine! stay away from him!!" ROFL!!!!

Ahaha Helen! "Assshoooooooooooooooole!" Kristine, you can't find your DVD? Good luck! Is the news really true? Because I almost bought the DVD near Christmas. It's also my all time favorite movie, long before I knew about Michael and Python. Can anyone say for sure the rumors are true? I'd really like to know.
