My Star Wars DVDs are on their way as I type this...

here's a poll---which Luke Skywalker do you prefer?
1. Innocent, whiny, but incredibly adorable farm boy in A New Hope
2. Buff, kick ass, and impatient in The Empire Strikes Back. (estrogen alert-- Helen votes for this one)(see Jedi training with Yoda on Dagobah.)(okay then)
3. Wise, dressed in black, and looking noble in Return of the Jedi. (but he still kicks ass)
wow. was this ever off topic.

Depends on my mood at the time!

Sad to say, but the more GL tinkers with the movies, the more inclined I am to believe that there is only 1 TRUE Star Wars & that was the first movie from 1977, unadulterated.

Don't get me started on the "prequels"... 8-(

AMEN sminobe. The prequels suck. And nothing is like the original.

My feelings about Luke Skywalker are already well known and I won't rehash them here. This contribution is to point out that you can substitute the title of a Monty Python song about a bee with the name of this thread. Hmm, maybe that was Helen's intention.

All this talk of Star Wars has gone completely over my head ...

I don't know what my intentions are...
But--I wanted to marry Luke Skywalker when I was 10.
What ARE your feelings, Intrepid? Do share.
:)

Mark Hammill hangs out with Brent Spiner. I saw this in a magazine interview with Spiner, posted on the web. Luke Skywalker hangs out with Data. Is that friggin cool or what?

Re: Helen the Happy Geek by Izot on 24 September 2004 8:18am

Spiner's cool. I know more of ST than I do of SW, so that's why I didn't post earlier. I really liked Data's character in TNG, I thought his was the best in the entire series.

Voyager is the best outta all the ST series, though.

And as for SW, I've only seen the two prequels, and I saw them in order - I suck.... :D

Yours,
The Real Slim Shady. ( ;D )
