York Signing by bathsheba on 21 October 2004 11:26pm

Yessss folks there I was in my lunch hour, happy little bunny hopping off to see Michael at the book signing. Mad, insane thoughts in my head of casually picking up a copy of Himalaya and waving it suggestively under Michaels nose. Michael half choking on his bottle of mineral water as I sit on his lap and ask him to sign my book with "Love always and forever, Michael"..sighhh...but scratch that, reverse it and add to it one word, QUEUE!! Ten million people type QUEUE in York all wanting to see Michael!! This could not be I screamed! Oh yes it is they all screamed back. Anywayyyys to cut a long story short I never had chance to ask Michael to sign my book but I did sneak in the other door and take some pictures and really felt for Michael as the queue of fans seemed endless...endless hellos..endless thank yous..endless goodbyessss...endless smiles...endlesss posttt..ok Ill stop.

Love always Ruth

Sorry you didn't get your book signed.

I shall be going to Solihull, (about 45 minutes away) to get my book (hopefully) signed on Tuesday. We've decided to go in the morning and look around the Touchwood (which I'll be doing so I meet Michael hee hee!) Shopping Centre, where the bookshop is, then have lunch there. He's due there at 5 p.m. so will start queuing early!! Hope there's a loo nearby (and I can stop trembling long enough to pass over my book!)!

Best wishes all

Anne

I was one of the lucky ones, the queue was humungous and a bit more. I waited for a whole hour and 20 minutes to get my book signed and then it was only a few seconds with the man himself, but it was definitely worth the wait. The time passed very quickly due to talking with those waiting in front and behind.
It was getting to the point where I thought its never going to be signed, but that wasn't to be.

I have to thank my boyfriend for *forcing* me to go & stand with me because if I wouldn't have gone, I would have regretted it terribly afterwards.

Good Luck to all who still have to get their book signed, its definitely worth the wait!

I got to the Oldham signing VERY early - went to the car for a little read of the book then went back to find the queue had started to form - it was only 3:00pm - so a 2 hour wait for me. A few seconds with Mr P but well worth it - a shake of the hand made my day complete!
