Oh no... by Sky on 8 November 2004 3:06pm

I'm getting on a plane tomorrow. College trip. Never flown before. Little nervous. Some guy in my class won't shup up about crashing. And what's that written on the top of my itinerary? 9/11. Great. Just great..

My dad gave me some advice: "sit at the back, near the black box"
How nice.

that is, if you are freaking out...otherwise just take a good book and some headphones.
As for me, I will need some sedation if I ever fly. I am a bit jumpy. :)

Sky-- I feel your pain. I'm terrified that someday I may have to get on a plane....
just reassure yourself that air travel is very safe-- safer than car travel.
and meds can help with anxiety. Talk to your doc about it. They may just help to take the edge off so you can enjoy yourself.
Good luck!

Forget the worries, enjoy the flight and take a copy of palinstravels Big Green Joke Book with you to read.

After looking at some of the air travel Mr P has endured over the years I'm sure you'll have nothing to worry about!
It's an adventure. And take off's are AWESOME! I love the feeling of tearing down the runway for takeoff...but looking at the time you've probably gone by now...oh...

Take Lorazepam. It is a mild tranquilizer, and helps a lot of air travellers. I used to take it, but air travel is so routine, and nothing ever happens, so I don't even bother with it any more. Happy travelling!
