  The Chatter Box : Travel
All at sea by teevee66 on 12 January 2005 12:45pm
Hi everyone,
not sure if you guys can help me but and if this is the right place but..
Some time ago I remember Michael Palin taking part in a program of Great Railway Journeys. On this particular part of the journey Michael had met an old friend who was living near a bay area in Western Canada. She was a writer who liked to spend some of
her time canoeing in the bay. I was taken aback to find out she was regularly followed by a number of whales which watched her paddling just interested in what she was doing.
It was fascinating and as a canoeist myself I tried to imagine what it must feel like to be isolated in the middle of the sea with these giants watching your every move.
If there's anyone who know about this program and the bay in question i would be eager to hear from you. I'm thinking of planning a holiday for my 40th birthday and this is top of my list of things I'd like to do.
Thanks for now,
