collusion of the state by dr snow on 9 February 2005 2:01pm

Tho many would say it's a justified world,in the north of Ireland to kill and injure innocent people to meet their political need,s.Know when i say they i mean the British goverment mi5 m16 f.r.u .The special branch millitary inn. They also colluded with u.v.f u.d.a u.f.f in the murders of catholics.

When i write this,i am not looking for any point scoring its the facts, and it's the chilling truth. To kill for political and non political reasons and work as British Prime minister and to know these killings were sanctioned by the top how can they redicule Sinn Fein who has a mandate

you really think the ira and thier off shots are any better ? bombs in england bonbs in northern ireland inncent people have died at ther hands too . to me they are just the same as those you have outlined . the troubles have been going on long before tony blair and will contiue long after him as no one has the courage to say enoughs enough . i am irish and proud to be so but no one kills in my name .
to me politics both left and right is just little men and women playing power games. sorry if i have gone off topic from your original point but i have has some abuse today in dublin for my "english" accent .

I am part Irish, and apparently one of my relatives was killed by the IRA many years ago, as they thought he was someone else. They gave an apology, but its not really enough. I agree with the politics comment you made there too. I really don't see the point in all the war and violence in the world today, and it saddens me to hear that countries are still invading other countries, I hear George Bush is intending to invade Iran and some other countries next..

Where on earth do you get your news, KateC?

Re: collusion of the state by KateC on 12 February 2005 10:09pm

The Bush thing I got off AOL a week or two ago, might not be true but I wouldn't put it past him... I didn't read the full article though and I can't seem to find it now, it was on the 'Welcome' bit when you log on..

Re: collusion of the state by JK on 13 February 2005 4:07am

It's inevitable I'd say. Iran = oil and an invasion = huge weapons contracts. Bush's favourite formula.

Re: collusion of the state by peripatetically on 13 February 2005 1:38pm

He hasn't taken oil from Iraq, so that's not true!

Re: collusion of the state by intrepid on 13 February 2005 3:47pm

Seems a little farfetched to me, too, peripatetically. Unfortunately, since the Iraq War (which a lot of Americans saw as self-defense but other folks didn't), that's the reputation Bush has gotten in the Czech Rep, anyway. My students have brought it up and I try to set them straight as far as I see it, but it'll be a while before their attitudes change. Rice's trip over here was seen as trying to make people less alarmed.
