Update-- Amazon does not have it in stock-- don't know when they will have it-- and it is $64 new! What's with that? I'm on a social worker salary over here!
Any suggestions on how I can get my grubby mitts on this DVD-- one that looks nice, and not too expensive....

I just tried to post this a minute ago and I think my computer ate my message. Naughty, bad, evil computer. If it shows up twice my apologies. :-)

The Meaning of Life DVD was available for a time, but I think it's out of print now. Thus the high prices for a new one. There was a bit of news over on the PythOnline message board a while back to the effect of putting together a special edition of Meaning of Life within the next few years or so, if I remember correctly. (What a long overly wordy sentence... Darn school essays and their word count requirements for making me not concise!)

Anyway, I'm going to nurse my old VHS along until that DVD comes out. Then into my shrine of Python DVDs Meaning of Life will go, only slightly higher so you get the two-level effect with a little path running down the middle.

Try music world or hmv sites, or e-bay!!! Or borrow the dvd or video from the library and accidentally..."lose" it...

USA: Helen, where do you live? Sounds like you had the same storm I did here in Maryland. We are still trying to dig our way out.

It worries me that "DVD was available" and "out of print now" can already be put in the same sentence in our day and age... ;O)

Why did they stop releasing it on DVD?

~Mary (Who's seen the DVD at a Hollywood Video rental store here in the US, but that's about it.)

Thanks for the info. i'm sure that path will look lovely... IT will be great when IT comes out..(auggghhh!!)
Patty-- Yup. the East Coast US got slammed. I am in Connecticut, and everyone is quite surly around here.. sick of the white stuff.
Nottlob-- You naughty devil!!! Tell me, do you listen to the Ramones? I blame them for my rebellious streak... (what my reply would be to the library when they ask where the DVD is): "Ohhh... the cat's eaten it!" :)
Mary-- good question.. when, and WHY?
