Hobbiton! by jess on 23 March 2005 10:07pm
Just to let people know, if they are in New Zealand (North island). Please don't listen to locals who tell you not to go to Hobbiton in Matamata.
Because I was desperate to go and everyone said it was a waste, well bugger them cos I went and it was lush.
I do admit you have to be a Lord of the Rings fan, because there is just ruins left and you do have to use your imagination. But it is a fully guided tour. It was almost like the extras on the DVD's! But in real life. So don't listen to the locals (who have have all this on their doorstep)! GO!

i love the LOTR and would love to go to hobbiton-the locals probably say that to try and keep the tourists out..the only thing that stops me is the long flight- i should have flew over when i lived in hong-kong..it would have been alot shorter flight from there! bugger :-$
