The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Lost in La Mancha by pollyanna199 on 30 May 2005 7:09pm
I was wondering if any of you have seen the new documentary about Gilliam's film that wasn't, "The man who killed Don Quixote"? I rented it and it is very interesting, not only an insight into a Gilliam production but also about the making of a movie in general.

I watched it when it was on BBC1 a few weeks ago and I found it really interesting. It's such a shame that everything was coasting along so well but then it all fell down like a pack of cards. It just goes to show how incredibly fragile the business is, and it made me admire the likes of Gilliam for being able to put themselves through that.

Gilliam has been talking about trying to make "The Man Who Killed Don Quiote" again. We'll have to see if it ever gets off the ground. In the meantime, we have "The Brothers' Grimm", due this summer, and "Tideland", due sometime in the near future, to look forward to. Grimm looks interesting.

Speaking of Brothers Grimm, I saw a large poster ad for it at the movie theater I went to today. can't wait. :)
