What an excellent source for information and perhaps more useful for research than Google as one search topic gives one result.

Wikipedia is very useful. I have some of their articles as links on my China blog.

Wikipedia is wonderful. I use it very often for research on things. But as it's an open dictionary where anyone can edit and submit things to it, you have to take things with a pinch of salt and double check the info elsewhere. On many articles there are notices at the top saying that some visitors dispute the information that appears on the page. After that, discussions go on between people, because it's easy for people to spread misinformation about someone to discredit them on Wikipedia. Michael's page looks fairly accurate to me though.

Well now that you mention it some of the information on Freddie Mercury (my specialized subject haha) is dodgy to say the least!

if you see bad information on Wikipedia, you can register and write in to tell them. i believe there is an option under each entry to correct any false information.
