Life of Brian by suzulu on 2 January 2006 1:17am

I have been watching The 50 Greatest Comedy Films on Channel 4 for the past three hours. Life of Brian has been voted as No.1, Holy Grail came 6th! Brilliant!

I first saw Life of Brian, believe it or not, during a religion class in Catholic high school. Everyone loved it! I can see why it was No. 1.

That's funny. I thought of Life of Brian tonight. I was watching a show on Discover Times Channel about the Three Wise Men.

Ellerd, it's amazing that Life of Brian was shown in your religion class! Forgot to mention that Michael and Terry Gilliam were on the programme talking about both films. It was mentioned how Life of Brian was banned from lots of cinemas and they showed a very short clip from a programme at the time where John and Michael were in the firing line about the film - Malcom Muggeridge and the Bishop of somewhere or other who thought the film was in very bad taste.

Oooh, I watched "The 50 greatest films" or something stupidly random like that and just as I tuned in, Life of Brian showed up! I can't remember what number it was but the title underneath just as they were showing a clip of the 3 wise men was, "Monty Python's Meaning of Life"!! I mean, duh! They could at least TRY and get it right!
Mike and Terry Jones were on and they showed that same clip Sue- the chat show thingy.
I turned off after that, but it was so lucky to come up just as I turned over, must have been waiting for me!!

Re: Life of Brian by tucsonmike on 5 January 2006 7:26pm

Renee you can try confuse a cat on small dogs. It is roughly the same IQ territory.

It's a shame that Holy Grail is the 6th only! For me this is the second! Meaning of Life the third, etc...

Chris.
