Bad news for east coast USA

I hate to be the bearer of very bad news for those on the east coast, but Michael is not coming to the mid-Atlantic region on this tour. I just spoke to the person who was trying to negotiate an appearance in Washington, D.C. His publishing rep, (I won't name her at this time) was very adamant with saying "NO". It was a finalized response, from what I am told. Hopefully, after his next trip to central Asia, he will reconsider and make time for his fans in regions that he skipped on this forthcoming trip. No one is more disappointed than I am, for I was the person who gave a heads up to the director of the program and passed all the information needed to make this come to fruition. Michael, simply has no extra time to divert to D.C. He runs a tight ship!!
So, I'm sorry about the news, and am a bit down, but at least we aren't still hanging on with hope for this year.
Patience is a virtue. --We'll be very virtuous by the time he gets here!!

Hey Lyn, is it really that easy to see Mr. MP in UK? "all over the place" I was considering visiting UK in June!

When we were there last Spring, I met some of the Pythonline people to do a little birthday toast to him at a place not too far from Kentish Town. As were were walking there....I would ALMOST swear that we saw him drive by. Ofcourse, my mind was very much on Mr. Palin at the moment, so it really could've been anyone. Might've been a 16 year old girl for all I know. An older looking 16 year old girl with hormone problems.

Hmmmmmm...with that in mind, I highly doubt Michael will be coming any closer to me in Wisconsin than the Chicago date. Really, it's not all that bad for me...3 hours.
But WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY does it have to be on April 3rd?? It's a freaking *Thursday*. :O\ Ah well. Maybe...maybe...maybe...

There may be some hope left for Boston. I sent email to someone at the bookstore where Michael did his last signing in Boston. They said that they heard that he was coming to Boston, and they had offered for him to return to their store. They hadn't heard anything back from his publicist, and they assume that means he is going to appear at another store instead. Of course I suppose it could also mean that plans have changed and he isn't coming to Boston. Oh well, I'll only be able to see him if he comes to Mass. before he goes to NYC...as I'm leaving for NZ on April 4! |
