A dying mouse's revenge by perfectbitch on 11 January 2006 6:29pm

I returned from shopping to find the house empty and the tv on. It was Richard and Judy (ugh) but Richard told a story on an elderly man in New Mexico who captured a mouse and threw it on a bonfire. The mouse was alight but managed to run back into the old man's house. The house burnt down!! Linz

I read that! I found it in the paper, i thought it was SO funny!! Shows that you shoud always kill your mice before chucking them on bonfires!

And don't forget, there are other ways to cook rodents without chargrilling them!

Now that is revenge! Sure the mouse isn't Sicillian? Then again, the Sicillian saying is "revenge is a dish best eaten cold."

Being a rat owner, this story brings a smile to my face. At least the poor thing got its revenge - serves the man right!

Similar to a story here in Australia a while ago:

MAN BREAKS LEG WHILE KICKING SPIDER

A 19-year-old broke his leg in two places while kicking at a spider in the NSW Southern Highlands.

NRMA CareFlight said the teenager was flown to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition from a property 25km west of Mittagong after the incident involving a large huntsman spider before 1pm (AEDT) on Thursday.

The force of the man's kick at the spider broke his right leg in two places and also killed the spider.

The Huntsman is listed by the Australian Museum as being a relatively harmless species, although the Badge Huntsman can cause pain, headache, vomiting and an irregular pulse.
