The Chatter Box : Welcome and Introductions
Lumberjack Song by timleigh on 15 February 2006 10:07pm
I loved Himalaya - many memories of my time with the Gurkhas and involvement in a charity that builds schools in Nepal. Michael's tale about singing the Lumberjack Song in response to a Nepalese love song reminded of one night at a school near Annapurna when we had been treated to some wonderful Nepalese dancing and could only respond with the Hokey Kokey! I am hoping to go to Nepal again at Easter if it is safe as I have been asked to raise money for a Health post at remote Suketar airstrip in the East. Happy to provide more details if anyone is interested. Tim Mitchell

Hey Tim. I would be interested because I am interested in things Tibetan. My father is a military history buff, so he is interested in anything concerning the Gurkhas. There was a thing in todays paper about a large group of prisoners, including the former Prime Minister being released.
