Has anyone heard of the book Michael Palin A Biography by Dreamchild on 8 March 2003 5:28am

I was on Amazon looking to see what they had when I found this and was wondering if any one else had read it..and if you have which should I read this one or Life with Michael or both..

Beth - is that the one by Jonathon Margolis? I have read some of his other biographies - they look alright to me - though I don't think they are official.

I am just starting Life of Michael and it looks very good. It's full of interviews with Michael which means that you get the real story at least!

I HAVE IT!!! It's ok, it makes michael out to seem a little pompous at the beginning of his career...but it is pretty good! personally i think its a must have for any palinite ;)

Well I must jump in and read it after I finish Life of Michael - which is very good so far (am about 1 and half chapters in!)

Will head to my trusty library and look for a copy.

In my humble opinion, I preferred the Novick book over the Margolis book.
But I enjoyed both...
So, read both. You can't go wrong.

Gotcha - the Margolis book is on my list of "to reads" - I'll give a critique once I have read it.

For what it's worth - Life of Michael improves considerably after that first chapter going on about how nice he is! We all know he is lovely - we don't need a whole chapter about it!
