The Chatter Box : Blathering On
A friend in need by perfectbitch on 2 April 2006 12:09pm
I have been reluctant to bring ths into the forum but I think it's important now.

One of my friends (not close but we'd see each other a couple of times a year and exchange Christmas cards etc.) Well, she has been with her partner (John) for 30 years and on 2nd March, she went missing, en route to the school where she works as a teacher. Apart from a sighting of her walking along a mud tracked road with head bowed, she has not been seen since. No money has been taken from her account and no clothes have gone. The police have dragged the lakes/ponds on the Common and flats and made a thorough search of the area.

This all happened around Wanstead Flats and has been in the media but I just hoped someone may notice her as she is 6 foot tall and has light red hair. Her name is Sarah Flooks and John is desparate for any sort of closure on this. He is fully aware that there probably won't be a positive outcome to all this but just wants to know what has happened. Keep alert if you can. Linz

Sorry to hear that, Linz. I'm too far away to help, but I am sending positive energy to you.

I believe this was featured on 'London Tonight' sometime last week. Hopefully someone, somewhere knows something and may that 'something' be positive.

In my prayers she goes.

Ohh, Linz! *hugs* I'm so sorry to hear this. I wish I could help you, but I do hope that she is found soon.

I heard about that. I do hope she is alright, Linz. How distressing for you all!

I had lunch with John today and he is ok but wondering how long to keep hoping - whatever the outcome. Just keep your eyes open for a 6ft redhaired woman. Thank you all for the good wishes - I showed them to John and he was appreciative. Linz
