Camel's Milk by lenardzelig on 21 April 2006 3:56pm

Having listened to the "Sahara" audiobook on my way to and from work recently, this new item was particularly of interest!

Actually camel's milk is very good and very nutritious.I have drunk it fresh, frothy and hot from the camel in a nomad's encampment in the Afar region of Ethiopia and can attest to its superlative qualities.

If we drink milk from a Bactrian camel will we get double the amount of nutrition? LOL. Or am I whey out of line here? *Sorry, it must be the wine I have had to drink*

I'll have to check the SAS Survival book to see if Lofty mentions camel milk. LOL! Sue. That reminds me of one of the Rudyard Kipling Just So Stories. The story is that the camel goes around saying Hmmph all the time. So the genie gives him one. Elaine adds the Bactrian camel was doubly unpleasant, so he received two humps.

I like that story! Coincidentally, tonight I was watching Episode Six of Full Circle on video. Michael was in Australia trying to catch a wild camel.

i hate milk of any kind so what makes you think i'll drink camel milk?

incidentaly ive been dragged on my stomach by a goat i was walking. in new trousers and all. needless to say the goat got loose and we had to catch it while holding on to the other one!

moral of the story? im bonkers and never walk a goat.

You should have eaten it arty just to teach it a lesson.
You are a fussy eater aren't you though.
