The Chatter Box : Blathering On
The Protesters on the U.K. Lottery by tucsonmike on 24 May 2006 3:01am
I saw the lottery show where the demonstrators went on the set. I thought the commentators did an amazing job not being flummoxed. So strange.

I didn't see it - out at the theatre - but heard about it.

I know they must be desperate to get justice in seeing their children, but is demonstrating in this way (they dress as superheroes and scale public buildings too) the best way to gain access to their children? Does it show the courts maturity?

There was also something in the papers about the woman involved (forget the name) who is the partner of the leader of Fathers4justice who ran on the set etc campaigning for her partner to see his children - but who has stopped her first husband seeing their children!! Bit hypocritical don't you think!!

Hypocracy is rife in these sorts of organisations. When a couple I knew split up for various reasons the husband was contacted by one of these organisations and they made the whole sorry episode more litigatious and expensive. Half the money spent on legal fees would have been enough to send both boys to private school for a couple of years. And they are supposed to have their children's best interests at heart. Linz
