Tell me about your day

We had a thread like this a while back and I really liked it. I enjoyed reading about how people are doing and how their day is going. I think it's nice to have somewhere to go just to talk about random things. |

Well I finished the novel I am writing. I need to fill in some better dialogue to catch the readers eye more. (Suggestions from my potential publisher so you can bet I am paying attention.
Then I set up my meeting with some of the Lost Boys in Tucson. (Well I reckon they aren't lost any more since I am meeting them).
I am also helping a Toastmasters friend out. She resigned from Pima Community College and is launching a career running a Distance Learning Company.
Then I signed the papers to buy my house.
So yes, another fun day in paradise!;-) |

Glad to have a chance to drone. I am dead tired (been tired for months)and it reached this zombie stage while working on my U. of OK application. I got it done and in in the nick of time and I'm glad to have the stress over with. Unfortunately, though the stress is gone for now, I've got various irritations, exacerbated by the exhaustion.
I opened my b-day presents from my folks yesterday morning. While I've been enjoying reading "Eric Idle's Greedy Bastard Tour diary", my other 2 presents are duds so far. I got a "Best of the Electric Company" DVD, but, despite the fact that it's not a movie to be released worldwide, the disk demands to be played on an "American Region" player, which my laptop ain't. My friend says he thinks he can make a copy which will play here, so my fingers are crossed.
The other present was a memory stick to put in the USB port. It didn't come with any software, so I had to get some from the internet with my old memory stick (which works fine). My old computer didn't like the software, though, and the website wasn't too helpful.
The big thing, though, was that my parents weren't able to call me. I stayed up late waiting for their call, but it didn't come. I found e-mails from them when I got to an internet cafe this morning and they'd TRIED to call repeatedly but my phone wasn't cooperating. Ugh. At least I've got a weekend, now. "The End".
BUT- not to end on a sour that's excessively sour- Congladgerations on housebuying, book finishing and graduating friends, though. |

Friday is my day off, so there wasn't very much to do. But one wonderful thing happend: I've found, using "Myspace" a brazilian friend of mine, school times u know, who I haven't seem for about 15 years since she left to live in US! Now we are eagerly exchanging e-mails updating 15 years of personal informations...lol.
That is it, for now. |

Oh, yeah! A similar thing happened to me a while back. I signed up for a MySpace account so I could see one of my friend's sites. Well, I had forgotten about the account. But, a few months later, I got an email from MySpace telling me that someone wanted to get in touch with me. It turned out that it was an old childhood friend of mine that I hadn't talked to in years! She moved to Colorado when we were 13 years old. She and I grew up together.
Now we talk on a regular basis! |
