Fantastic writing. TJ is great. I did not know the origin of the word "armaggedon." Very interesting.

I was interested about the site of so many cities. I do believe that certain geographical areas seem to have a long history of war and violence. The Middle East, especially the Mediterranean bordered countries fall into this category. Others include South Africa (a long history of tribal movements to the south of the continent and genocide - way before the white man settled there) After all, if you travel south in Africa, there is nowhere else to go) Also Ireland - again, the end of the line for peoples moving west. I do not know, but I suspect the narrow strip between north and south America has seen it's share of conflict. Just a thought.

Interesting article. Linz you are right about South Africa for example being a dead end. Iraq has had warfare for 8000 years (read the Epic of Gilgamesh). The Scots-Irish who were sent to settle the American frontier.
