i went to a christian school, although they were quite open and welcoming about who they let attend. we had many different religions come to our school which is what i loved about it. even though it was a christian school we welcomed any religion with open arms.

Such schools have been a popular element in the United States for many decades and on many different levels. One of my nieces is Jewish, but attends a Catholic High School for example. One of my sisters attended an Episcopalian school.

I do not think any faith should come into the school curriculum nor should any one faith have it's own school. Education should concentrate on academic and vocational skills which is what it proclaims to be its goal. Faith/religion is such a personal thing and I believe religious teachings should be the responsibility of parents and religious organisatons.

I agree, Linz. I was subjected to the horrors of a Catholic education that has left me enraged to this day and totally inhibited my educational development while I was in its grasp. Thank Goddess for public libraries where could learn unemcumbered from religious dogma!

My father taught at a chjristian school and he's an atheist! AND the school employed him knowing this. and still took exhorbitant fees from the student's parents. AND he taught religious education as an emergency teacher!!!
