Will your neighbourhood be submerged by rising sea levels?

Rather sobering...

Phew! The chance of us being flooded (from rivers etc) is less than 1 in 1000.

hahaha the whole of lincoln univerisity campus is apparently going to be under water!!!!! it's only ten years old and they build it on a huge flood plain next to one of the main rivers in lincolnshire, what dumbass planned that?!

Sacramento is only a few feet above sea level and is surrounded by levees that are in worse shape than the ones in New Orleans. They've failed twice in the last three years but, fortunately, it only flooded agricultural land to the West. Thank God we don't have hurricanes here but an earthquake at high tide or during a storm or a rise in sea level of a few feet would flood California's capitol.

But since this is a government town filled with bureaucrats, everyone is running around pointing fingers of blame and no one has come up with a workable plan to fix it. Another good reason to move to New Mexico asap....

I'll be safe where I live, even if the sea level rises by 14m. Much of Brisbane can kiss its behind goodbye though - and Sydney doesn't look too healthy either. :(

Sighthound - should we be concerned about a city full of bureaucrats being flooded? ;-)
