New New Cat. by tucsonmike on 12 December 2006 1:29am
Yes, last Friday we got another cat for my birthday to replace Ashley. He is an orange and white tabby. I named him Yerbolat (the name of this well liked bright Kazakh kid at U of A). I call him Yerbie for short.

When we went into the Humane Society, Yerbie reached out to us immediately. He and Lucy hit it off quickly. The Humane Society thinks he is three years old. There will be all sorts of stories about him. The two of them are sitting and watching me type.

Welcome to Yerbie.

I hope he brings you much love in your old age *Anne ducks to avoid a cactus thrown in her "general direction"* !!!

Only joking - I'm older than you after all!

LOL! Anne. No I will not throw a cactus at you. I laughed. Yes, Yerbie is a riot. Since there is already rampant silliness anyway here, what is one more silly being here?

Life is wonderful with a silly cat!

Been trying to get Violet, the feral cat, to be silly but with no luck. I did manage to get her to finally come into the house for a bit on Sunday for the first time. Major acomplishment even though it is freezing outside....

Yerbie sounds adorable, Mike. Just makes sure he stays away from those cactus wrens, ya hear? ;)
Poor Yerbie Caught a Cold.Re: New New Cat. by tucsonmike on 20 December 2006 2:33am
He is already getting better, but we still have to take him to the vet anyway. Probably got it in the animal shelter.

He is a very intelligent cat and also very silly.

The two of them were watching the Cactus Wrens in the yard. I have never seen two cats so outraged. Well Cactus Wrens do have an attitude. They are like Road Runner in the Road Runner cartoon.

Yerbie has a collar with a bell. You can hear him coming.
His Cold is Better..Re: New New Cat. by tucsonmike on 24 December 2006 3:23am
Dr, Keyes, the vet likes Yerbie. The office all think he is cute. Dr. Keyes also stated he is really between 8-12 months old. Half the time in the exam room , he sat on my shoulders.
Typing this note is tough. He keep slapping me, because I am not paying attention to him.
