  The Chatter Box : Travel
Join your own Palin adventure! by stephenPaul on 3 February 2007 10:03pm
Hello there. I am a freelance presenter for BBC Radio Four as well as tour guide and will be travelling around India and other places (nothing defined yet) to record some material possibly for production. Nothing has been commissioned, so there's no pay sadly, but this is a great opportunity to get to grips with travel radio programme making and then at least try to sell it! Travelling with a purpose is so much more fun!

I am looking for a travel partner who is keen to learn editing, a great researcher with a sharp eye for good material and fun to be with - as well as feeling we don't have to be joined at the hip.

If you like the Mike Palin type proprammes that's a great start! Yes, there's no money in this but a great experience as travelling to make interesting radio programmes leads you into all kinds of wonderful places!

The trip starts April and my first idea is to record ashrams and those - particularly westerners who seek spiritual retreats and why: this might involve north india as a start: the research is up to you.

If you are motivated, laid back, un-flustereed in odd situations and not afraid to travel without the lead of a Lonely Planet guide in unusual places.: prepared to put the hours in with research rather than just tagging along: as well as work on a lap top on the road editing and doing all the boring bits----please email: [email protected]

we can start some correspondence and take it from there.

thanks for reading
