The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Basil Pao's Photo Book by Nikolajf on 1 April 2003 10:32pm
I just finished looking through all the pictures in Basil Pao's photo book. They are nothing short of stunning and certainly more than mere eyecandy on a desktop. As it happens I'm in the process of buying a new $3,000 laptop and initially thought these pictures would make for a beautiful background, but they also reminds you of just how big the differences are in the world (I know how pathetically naive that must sound). I especially liked the woman in Peru asking for a pair of new shoes and the little collection of young women from around the world - it's nice to see not everyone looks as bland as those "Hollywood Beauties". (What was Brittany Murphy wearing at the Oscars again?).

Well, just thought I'd rant a bit about how great those pictures were. Made me feel like running off to all four corners of the world. I'll still get my laptop - need it to access www.palinstravels.co.uk ; )

They're amazing aren't they.

The man is so incredibly gifted.

Don't worry Nick, rant away....... Basil's worth it.......

Thanx guys (& Ellen),

The details are amazing. Contrary to some overpolished-retouched-sun-hits-mountaintop-pastiche, there is a sense of something genuine and authentic in every picture. It's litteraly breathtaking when my desktop morphs from one background to the next. Rather counterproductive : )

Good one? U bet! It's the new 17" PowerBook from Apple.

Cheers Everyone,
