A great deal of Around the World in 80 Days, Pole to Pole and Full Circle required Michael to travel by watercraft.

In 80 Days, the longest journeys over water included crossing the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Pacific Ocean.

In Pole to Pole, the longest journey made in a boat saw Michael crossing the Barents Sea.

In Sahara, Michael travelled from Europe to Africa and back again across the Strait of Gibraltar.

And, just in case you missed it, the Pacific Ocean played rather an important role in Full Circle...!
